About ATSOptimization

A practical tool built for job seekers tired of being auto-rejected by software they cannot see.

Why this exists

ATSOptimization started as a personal project. My wife was applying to roles she was clearly qualified for — strong background, relevant experience, the right skills for the jobs she was going after — and getting nothing back. Application after application, no responses. Not even rejection emails. Just silence.

Neither of us knew what an Applicant Tracking System was at the time. We assumed the market was just brutal, or that something invisible about her resume wasn't landing. When we eventually found out about ATS filtering — that automated software was rejecting her resume before any human ever saw it — we tried the existing commercial tools.

They were either expensive, complicated, or stuffed with features nobody needed. The actual question we wanted answered — what is ATS missing in this resume, and how do we fix it for this specific job? — was buried under upsells and dashboards.

So I built one. Stripped down to what actually matters: paste the resume, paste the job description, see exactly what's missing, fix it. After my wife used it, she got four interviews in one week. She had a new job shortly after — at a company that, statistically, should have been one more silent rejection.

The tool worked. So I shipped it.

Built ATSOptimization after watching my wife — and later, friends and contacts in similar positions — get rejected by ATS filters for fixable, mostly invisible reasons. The product reflects what worked for her: clear feedback on what's wrong, results that actually move the needle, and zero tolerance for the feature bloat that makes most resume tools harder to use than they need to be.

Why we built it for international applicants

Most resume tools assume their user is a US applicant applying to a US company. The average advice on the internet is written for that person. If you're outside the US — applying remote, applying for visa-sponsored roles, applying across regions where the conventions differ — that advice misses real issues you actually face.

ATSOptimization is built first for that audience. Phrasing patterns that read as non-native to US recruiters. Foreign credentials the parser doesn't weight correctly. Address formats and visa-status decisions that quietly route your application to the wrong pile. Time-zone signaling for remote roles. Things the average resume tool either ignores or gets wrong.

That doesn't mean it doesn't work for domestic applicants. It does — most of what makes a resume parse cleanly and rank well is universal. But the wedge, the reason this tool exists rather than another generic competitor, is that someone who isn't the default candidate finally has a tool that doesn't treat them as an afterthought.

What you get

A precise read on why your resume isn't getting through, and a result you can actually send. The free analysis shows you the score and the shape of the problem. The Pro tier delivers an optimized CV tuned for the specific job you're targeting, plus a matching cover letter that picks up where the resume leaves off.

Two optimization modes are available to Pro users: Precision (the recommended default for almost every application) and Stretch (for genuinely reach roles where you need maximum keyword density). Choose based on the role, not the mood.

The product is deliberately narrow. One job at a time. One result. No dashboards, no scoreboards, no gamification. The faster you get an answer you can act on, the sooner you can stop thinking about your resume and start applying.

What we don't do

  • We don't store your resume content beyond what's needed to deliver your result.
  • We don't use your CV content to train AI models.
  • We don't sell user data. Ever.
  • We don't fabricate skills, experience, or metrics. The optimizer reframes what is already true.
  • We don't bloat the product with features nobody asked for. The tool does one thing well.
